Sears.com uses an innovative lightbox overlay that allows the user to choose between a legacy username/password option or to use an existing OpenID-enabled account from Yahoo, Google, AOL, and myspace as well as offerings from Facebook and Twitter.
Get Satisfaction
Get Satisfaction, a community-powered support platform, presents a simple overlay and allows users to cycle between tabs to login with their preferred method. This is a hybrid solution where Get Satisfaction created the user interface layer and the back end functionality is provided by Janrain's RPX service.
Fox News
Fox News asks readers to register on the site with an OpenID before they leave a comment on an article. They have chosen to use small favicons to select the preferred identity providers.
myKmart
MyKmart accepts OpenIDs for registration and login on its community website, using a sleek lightbox overlay
UserVoice
Citysearch embedded UserVoice's customer feedback platform into their website. UserVoice has integrated Janrain's RPX iFrame into the registration/login page.
Qype
QYPE is the Citysearch of Europe and has deployed a similar third party registration approach to Uservoice.
Explore.org
CastRoller
UserVoice, Qype, Explore.org and CastRoller all recommend OpenID as a preferred sign-in option, but also allow users to login with their traditional username and password
WhitePages
WhitePages presents large buttons for OpenID providers like Google and Yahoo!, making it easy to create a new account
Interscope
Universal Music Group presents OpenID as the prominent option for users to register or login, but also allows visitors to register with an email address.
LA Times
The Los Angeles Times asks visitors to register with an OpenID or other social networking account. In addition, they are promoting registration by offering a lottery to win a gift card.
StackOverflow
StackOverflow combines a button-based interface for sign-in with the option for users to enter their OpenID URL
