Why doesn't this use the OpenID namespace mechanism instead of an arbitrary naming scheme?

  • Agreed. It would be preferable to use the defined extension mechanism for this, not only for the sake of cleanliness but also because OpenID 2 libraries should already have a mechanism for dealing with extension fields but are unlikely to be able to help with an arbitrary extra argument. --Martin 11:17, 14 May 2008 (PDT)
